The College Dropout turns 17, and Tyler, The Creator’s Yonkers turns 10.

it’s kinda crazy to me that these two releases are only 7 years apart, and we’re now 10 years out from the latter. Like, the 7 years between 2004-2011 to me feel like a lifetime, but from 2011 to now seems like a blink of an eye.

Family Business is still the one to me off CD. I’d rank it 4th in his discography behind MBDTF, Yeezus, and 808s. But it’s the best out of the college trilogy.

It’s also nuts to see Tyler’s progression since Yonkers. And how he managed to turn a viral song into a flourishing career.

Ahhh yes back then when everyone hated on Tyler for eating a cockroach, not knowing what a rollercoaster of musical output he would release in the following years.

I assume I'm a heathen for not listening to a kanye or tyler project so which albums of theirs should I listen to first?

For Kanye, The clollege dropout is a good starting point.
For tyler's old stuff I'd say Wolf then Goblin. For his newer stuff I'd say Flower Boy

I was a bit OF guy at the time but it’s just hard to listen to now. In my opinion everything attempted to be done on goblin was done better on b------ and perfected on wolf. It’s easily Tyler’s worst album

Ye's debut was nice, but I love My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreaks and Yeezus.

d--- Yonkers is 10? I never listened to that odd future s--- but I was a freshman/sophomore in HS when it came out and I can remember how hard he hit initially.

The College Dropout is one of the greatest albums ever recorded in any genre. Every song feels like a piece of art and a b-----r at the same time.
