Oct 5, 2022 Of course his fans are gonna call everything a classic. Have you seen the Eminem thread? There’s people who legitimately like Revival in there. I’ve seen many people on Twitter, YouTube, even YouTube reactors say that Mr. Morale is weird or bad. People criticized d---. for being too simple. Either way the days of Kendrick being universally praised are gone with Mr. Morale. I’ve seen tons of people say it wasn’t worth the 5 year wait, it came and went, it’s not memorable, etc.
Oct 5, 2022 This is the Marsh I remember, complete disregard to the whole paragraph he’s replying to.
Oct 6, 2022 Im trying to say that I never see people trash his. He's as overrated as he used to be, while you see us admit it when Em drops something boring. And his collabs? Most are bad. And no one complains about his irritating accents but me. That ruins his songs for me. Dude just dropped a music video that feels like staring at a couple arguing in the street for 6 mins lmao I have yet to see someone say Kendrick albums are weak. And Youtubers love 99% of the s--- they react to.
Oct 6, 2022 At least fufu was popular slang at one point plus it’s also a West African food. Pushin P is “said” to come from Texas and Bay areas for “pushing pounds” of drugs but it wasn’t used often especially not on social media so, pushin P definitely wasn’t popular before the song came out. Gunna tried to use it as a meme for popularity but it was way too forced, not funny, and the song wasn’t all that good. The only good thing to come out of it was this:
Oct 6, 2022 I feel like the meme is the only reason his last album did good lol dude wrote a letter from prison still talking about that s--- he has bigger things to worry about lol
Oct 6, 2022 Bro read back in the thread it’s full of Kendrick haters. Some of his features are misses, a lot of them are on bad songs even when it is a good performance by him. But there is no dialogue on this forum to the extent there is within the Em section that’s why you’re not seeing a ton of nuance akin to what you’re describing. It’s usually full of “he sucks, he’s boring, he’s overrated” — leading to a knee-jerk reaction from his fans to pushback in the complete other direction. There is barely any room for meaningful discussion because all that’s talked about in this forum is Eminem & even when attempts to venture out of that sphere are made, they’re either ignored or, like here, people swarm in to tell us how much they don’t like him.
Oct 6, 2022 I dont know what is about Kendrick but i have not liked his music in a long time. For me he lacks any charisma on the mic. The voices he puts on are strange too
Oct 6, 2022 Not many people cared for his new album, not even for the singles. They voted with thier time. They just didn't want to spend It listening to It.
Oct 6, 2022 Literally my favorite album this year and maybe ever. People say it’s a weird album but that’s one of the reasons I like it… that eccentricity is so captivating. Not to mention Father Time is a heartbreaker to those of us without dads. I can see where people are coming from when they say they don’t like the album though. It’s definitely not for everybody… and like Kendrick said you can’t please everybody
Oct 6, 2022 You def need to be in a certain mood to listen to that album (besides Die Hard, I'm shaking a--- to that song) but it's really not bad and also not overly try hard eccentric imo. It just feels real, no bs or hot air. Every line feels like it means something and not on some corny tumblr quote level which is something not everyone manages to do
Oct 6, 2022 People here don’t mention this song enough. Gotta be one of the catchiest songs of the year to me, it always pops up in my head at random times. Whenever I hear it I immediately have to stop what I’m doing and dance
Nov 12, 2022 Anybody watch The Big Steppers Tour show on Amazon Prime Video? I’m watching right now and this s--- looks like an amazing concert
Nov 16, 2022 Nope because almost no one here cares anymore. Why he decided to drop a music video for this song in particular 6 months later is beyond me. I’ll watch it later though
