Mar 31, 2023 I enjoy the re3 remake if I just want to go around with the unlimited ammo machine gun you can earn. I feel they could have done a better job making nemesis look more like a horror character and changed the game too much imo. I think they rushed the re3 remake because of the re2 success. Code Veronica was actually supposed to be re3. But sony had a contract that they still owed putting a re game on the ps1. A lot of re3 was re 1.5 that only shows little gameplay. It makes sense because the end of code Veronica you have a face off with Wesker that goes to Re4 instead of 3.

Apr 2, 2023 3 remake was terrible. Nemesis was just a cutscene, set piece boss. Stalked you for most of the game on the original and added tension to the whole game. The environments and placement, resembled nothing of the original and seemed random. Nothing was faithful to the original or improved on anything. Just felt like DLC to 2 remake and half arsed.
Apr 2, 2023 I played a few Resident Evil games here and there as a kid but never actually got into it or completed anything. All this talk of how good the new remake is makes me wanna get into it. It might be the next series I delve into after I finish The Last of Us Part 1 and 2. I’m already in the last section of Part 1. I started The Last of Us Part 1 on normal difficulty but changed it to hard as normal was too easy for me. I might do another playthrough on the harder than hard difficulties sometime in the future but I don’t want my first playthrough to have missing features like the listening mode being gone.
Apr 2, 2023 I'd argue most of the Resident Evils are super high quality, like every other Capcom game that wasn't street fighter it got iffy in the 360/PS3 era but they had a great comeback when 7 came out.
Apr 2, 2023 Haha yeah, I actually still have my copy of Resident Evil 6 on the Xbox 360. Someone got me it as a gift around the time it came out. I remember thinking it was cool but kinda weird and I just stopped playing it
Apr 3, 2023 I finally completed The Last of Us on hard difficulty, including the DLC story. I started on normal though so I didn’t get the trophy for completing it on hard but oh well. It took me like 15 hours, probably 17 or 18 hours when you include the DLC. A lot of those hours are from some scouring all the areas for collectibles. I still f---ing missed a bunch SMH! There was actually more differences between the game and the show than I thought there would be. Either way, the game is great and it’s definitely one of my favorite video game stories ever. Soon I’ll buy Part 2 and play that as well. I’ve heard that one is pretty divisive.
Apr 3, 2023 Man, I'll be honest (spoiler free ofc). Last of Us 2 has PHENOMENAL gameplay. Stealth mechanics got turned up to 11. As far as the story goes, man don't go in with any expectations.
Apr 3, 2023 It’s good to hear that the gameplay is phenomenal. At first, I would get impatient with the stealth in the first game and that’s what ended up causing most of my deaths. Eventually I learned to stop being impatient and I ended up liking the stealth so I’m glad that the mechanics are better in Part 2! Yeah a lot of the complaints I’ve heard were about the story. I’m just gonna try to go in with an open mind like I usually do
Apr 3, 2023 Agreed! I don't understand how people can hyle the story up because Spoiler The whole game felt centered on revenge. It kept building and building and building. You feel certain that only one person walks out alive. You go through all that just crazy s--- for Ellie to say "just go". Most deflated ending since Dexter.
