May 10, 2024 I don't think he can do it. We've had a few attempts at lose yourself/till i collapse remakes but nothing from the 99/2001 era imo. Closest he got was during that strange 2015/Shady XV era where he would occasionally do the weird voice mixed with his then current style and it sounded like vomit shat from his anus. He probably feels that in terms of writing it would be like stepping down to a lower level. The only thing I can say is that I noticed a few lines in Realest and Doomsday pt.2 where the cadence seems similar to some songs from SSLP but I'm probably reaching (the 4 bars about Gen Z and shooting up schools from Realest and the "go at his neck how the f--- is that, how can I go at something he doesn't have and the next 2 bars in Doomsday)
May 10, 2024 But if the goal is to recreate vintage Eminem it will always fall flat. Only Eminem himself could convincingly do it but the verses would have to live up to the voice. Something like Walkthrough.

May 10, 2024 Eminem just had a magic ability when writing/delivering his verses from SSLP -> TES. His great use of imagery, witty punchlines and channeling his emotions on the records in a great way. Some of SSLP writing was just shock value stuff that isn’t perfect, but a lot of it is super clever and out-of-the-box. We’ll see if he can tap into it on this next project or not
May 10, 2024 In this scenario AI doesn't mean "not real", in the sense that it would be a bot rapping lol. It would be Eminem rapping with his voice modified to sound 20 years younger with the help of AI utilizing samples of his real voice. Not essentially different from layered vocals or other vocal modifications that are used all the time if you think about it.
