Jan 25, 2026 @Aima wrote this review! 1. Interpol - Untitled love the slow intro. very mellow. indie coffee shop vibes. difficult to understand the lyrics compared to some of their other songs. great beat 2. Katatonia - Dispossession never heard this band. fresh sound to me. great to headbang to especially the intro. not a fan of the vocals here 3. Hum - If You Are to Bloom early 90s feels, sounds right out of charmed tv show! love. but singer gives temu weezer? 4. Wunderhorse - Leader of the Pack sounds like a kid rock song, but i like rock’s voice better, interesting lyrics, cool beat 5. Pavement - In the Mouth a Desert intro is a bit grating, i like his voice, tough to understand, music drowns him out, i didn’t know mumble rock is a genre? 6. Tigercub - The Perfume of Decay amazing beat. reminds me of a super hype wwe intro. seth rollins could walk out to this! pretty voice! afi vibes 7. Seether - Fine Again love this group. never heard this song. thank you for this! great voice and beat! no critique 8. Tad - Throat Locust is that title a silence of the lambs reference? love this beat, hate his voice. hair metal/meatloaf in rocky horror vibes! 9. Jerry Cantrell - Afterglow reminds me of seether but more mellow, awesome beat! 10. Staind - Open Your Eyes love this beat. so not typical, more 90s vibes here. pretty! 11. HIM - Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart i follow this guy on tiktok, never heard his music. really cool! 12. Wunderhorse - Butterflies super nice beat, not a fan of the vocals, like at all 13. Superheaven - No One’s Deserving awesome guitars, voice sounds very similar to the last song to me 14. Nevermore - Cenotaph pretty intro! feels like a serial killer’s anthem. music to be murdered by? 15. Life Of Agony - Through and Through system of a down without the politics! great energy 16. Kylesa - Dust that intro is beautiful! love the synths! i feel like this could play in a spaceport on star trek! 7/10 cool tape! @AOTWClub

Jan 26, 2026 Wreckless - Distorted Reality Second tape of the round, let’s do this My pre-thoughts on Distorted Reality were pretty similar to the ones I had about Jank’s tape last week. Aside from my GOAT Jerry Cantrel and Pavement, I wasn’t really familiar with any of the artists on the tape (aside from Interpol since they’re always brought up in music circles that I frequent), so I was going in pretty much blind. [Also, there’s been a big winter storm over here the past few days, so based off the cover, I figured that this would have a pretty fitting cold mood.] “Untitled” was a great intro. I don’t just mean great as in “this is good”, I mean great as in “incredible song, and a killer way to start the tape holy s---”. U need to check out Turn On The Bright Lights soon man. “Dispossession” was really d--- good as well. I don’t have much to say about “If You Are To Bloom”, and “Leader of the Pack” aside from the fact that I absolutely loved them. “In The Mouth A Desert” has always been one of my favorite cuts from Slanted and Enchanted so its inclusion was very appreciated. I was a bit lukewarm on “The Perfume of Decay” but I still thought it was fine. “Fine Again” was pretty good, and “Throat Locust” was a good time as well. I’m not too familiar with Jerry Cantrell’s solo work aside from Degradation Trip, but I thought “Afterglow” was pretty cool. “Open Your Eyes” was pretty good once again. The rest of the tape was pretty solid as well, with “Butterflies” (I gotta check out some more Wunderhouse),and “No One’s Deserving being especially notable. I had a pretty d--- good time with tape, and I mean it. This might be my favorite out of Wreck's tapes so far, honestly. Big thanks to @Wreckless for the tape FAVORITES: Untitled, If You Are To Bloom, Leader of the Pack, Butterflies Rating: 9/10 @AOTWClub
