Apr 28, 2026 at 11:41 AM Big rumours that Dre stole a lot of "his" biggest beats and alls he did was produce and mix. Who knows if true, but I think a some of the these artists jack styles from others For example Biggie Smalls. He's in my top 3 but yh this happened
Apr 28, 2026 at 11:47 AM Not rumors. He didn’t steal, he used his business practices to own them. He didn’t produce them, he was more of a mastering engineer by the late 90’s. Yeah of course he beat making legend, but he famously used stems, snares and beats from others and stamped his name on it. Is that stealing? Well maybe, but that’s why we call him SHADDDDDYYYY
Apr 28, 2026 at 11:48 AM This became a lot more common when new jack swing took off around 1991. Blurred the lines of sampling and straight up executive producers ripping entire tracks. Diddy is notorious for this
Apr 28, 2026 at 12:55 PM No, Dr. Dre is more of a traditional producer like in other genres. There’s so much more to producing than just making a beat.
Apr 28, 2026 at 1:20 PM I remember seeing this year's ago and you have no idea how letdown I felt lol Life After Death was the 1st Album I ever purchased at 12 years old.
Apr 28, 2026 at 2:47 PM Dre did produce them. But the chronic and 2001 were also made by Daz and Mel Man more then people think. They are credited for it and got paid for thier contribution but they go overlooked in the history books
Apr 28, 2026 at 2:48 PM Going top 10 globally on Spotify nearly 40 years later. d---, MJ really on his own level.
Apr 28, 2026 at 2:54 PM Yup Dre took all the credit for other people's beats. Compton was a--- beat wise and so was Snoops Missionary. Makes me laugh when people say "50 cent wouldn't have been s--- if he didn’t have those Dre beats to rap over" I think fif rapped over 10 "dre" beats his entire career lol. He'd pick em via CD's with no names on em so he didn't know who made said beats. Dre is probably one of the biggest frauds in rap and i love his first 2 albums. Both monster projects, classic LP's.
