May 28, 2026 at 3:26 AM There's plenty bad about it bro. Mainly cohesion. Sounds more like a mixtape. 'So Much Better' sounds like it's for a different album and style vs. 'Rhyme or Reason', or 'The Monster', as does 'The Monster' from either of them. As does 'Stronger Than I Was', as does 'Survival', which sounds like Recovery 2. As does 'So Far'. It's all over the f---ing place. A great album sounds like one piece. One sound. A unified set of tracks which paint one picture. - Illmatic - MMLP Great examples of this. MMLP2 is a mess. It was a precusor for Revival in that he didn't know what direciton to go, so he just sort of did a bit of everything, trying to please everyone... which is like the worst artistic MO imagineable.
