Jun 20, 2026 at 4:34 PM Posthumous releases. I’m sure there’s already multiple posthumous albums planned. They will sell very well.
Jun 20, 2026 at 6:26 PM you know the label owns the songs right? not Em, not Dre, not Paul the merchant
Jun 20, 2026 at 7:20 PM If you think there is no point you’re terribly wrong. We know that Marshall have the habits to recycle most of his old stuff, the most recent example is tdoss and this is only the first. We know the value of Eminem's vault; I'm very sure that when he's no longer able to release relevant content, the business model will shift to reissues of old, revamped songs. Both the artist himself and the label he's signed to intend to squander any unreleased material; the recent interview with will i am clearly demonstrates the importance Eminem holds in the entire environment. The perfectionism surrounding him is extremely high, and the average user likely tends to underestimate the profitability of his catalog, especially in the long term. Take, for example, the figures Akon declared regarding Smack That: after 20 years, he still manages to make over half a million every four months, and we're talking about a single track. In his case, we're not just looking at the US market, but the global market. I guess in the music industry is impact is comparable to Grand theft auto, he don’t need to put out constantly content to be relevant as the main streamed artist of nowadays, his legacy is really solid
Jun 20, 2026 at 10:47 PM Have my Stan’s been leaking my old songs again? Swear I wrote this s--- for infinite
Jun 20, 2026 at 11:43 PM I know he doesn't own the music. Even the Bass Brothers' Web Entertainment was on his albums right up until MMLP 2. It's not a knock on Stat Quo but a lot of this music isn't going to bring in a lot of money. It's like Dre's Detox. There's so much material that it can't all be good. It wouldn't hurt to release some really good special editions that are worth paying money for. We're already in the streaming era. I believe what Akon says about Smack That. It's the same reason Curtain Call is still a chart selling album. People like the old material and they always will. They'll go back to what they know. Radio will play what they know. Releasing some unreleased songs alongside an anniversary isn't going to take away from the main album. It's just a bonus. A bit extra to say thankyou for supporting them. And I know a lot of what he releases is reused material and for good reason. A lot of it is good but it can't all be good. No one records that much music and it's all great. It should be quality over quantity and that's the thing about releasing now. Wouldn't he want to release it when he's here to talk about it and tell us about the songs cause when he's gone...they can do whatever they want. Change beats, censor it, by that time I'm sure AI will be off the scale. He can't control any of it and we're fans now. He became a star in our lifetime. That's who it should be aimed at. The people that are here now not 50 years from now and there will be a ton of comps for sale with his singles on them. And from the labels side, a lot of money is being left on the table and this is the time now where people might pay it.
Jun 21, 2026 at 10:44 AM It’s pretty hilarious how Eminem “couldn’t meet the deadline” for a verse that would take less than an hour to write, an hour to record and an hour to mix.
Jun 21, 2026 at 3:21 PM Whoa don't recognize the song . Thanks for posting it. Akon needs to start making music again. There was only one artist thar had the hook game akon did. That was nate dogg. Has there ever been a song where the hook didn't Cary the entire song
Jun 21, 2026 at 3:48 PM No different to what Eminem said in November when he claimed he was working to “deadlines” and couldn’t attend court. It was just a PR statement so he didn’t have to go. This also similar. He’s not going to come out and say, “Nah, f--- off, it’s not worth my time.” Instead, his team gives another PR friendly reason why he couldn’t do the project, just to be polite and not for him to look like a d-ck.
Jun 21, 2026 at 3:58 PM I mean so would anyone of the stature that Eminem is at and two members of the group that are clearly using D12 at this point for clout and to hang on something that was dead 20 years ago. 4 of the artists are not part of it anymore - let it go.
