It's 29 degrees C now here (later today) yesterday as well. Got the whole week off, this is my perfect summer weather. During the day its sunny, at night it gets cooler so I can sleep without using my AC.

Only thing thats really needed now is rain.

99F (37C) here yesterday. 97 today, supposed to be. I went out once to see how bad it was yesterday... wasn't horribly humid so I could breathe at least.

This is the hottest I've experienced where I am. Detroit further south would get over 100 from time to time, but this far north the highest I'd ever seen was 96, five years ago.

    Do not recommend

Thats way too hot yeah. We had that 2 weeks ago, even for me it was too much and I usually love hot weather (temperatures around 25-30).

You guys also got like 45 degrees? I read that was also in some states. Same as in france and spain atm. Really scary with all the fires as well.

@Marsh you live close to the fires?

Yeah it's crazy hot. In the south and out west 115-120 F can be seasonally appropriate (Texas... August in Arizona, Nevada) but some other states have been getting up there too.

Hope this is the last nasty heat wave for the summer. Stay cool over there

Was only 21C (72F) with me today - was outside all day trimming hedges in my garden and managed to burn. Thank God I don't live in a warm country!

Close enough - Scotland! Weather is usually grey, rainy and windy. This summer's been different though - blue sky and warm weather most days! Global warming has its benefits I suppose

For you in Scotland. In Birmingham it's been unbearable most days.

Yip, I've seen that down your way it's just silly hot - I'd definitely be investing in an AC unit / high quality fan - went onto the Dyson website to have a look but practically all were sold out - surprise surprise!

I had an AC unit, one of the ones with the pipes out the back. The s--- broke the last time it was crazy hot well a day before. Imma get a new one. But yeah it's ridiculous when over 28 for days in a row especially when it's a horrible type of heat.

Just went for a run 9km, 26 degrees already but very windy so it was not an issue. Huge difference tbh

GO GET IT you lunatic. 9k at 26C/78F is no joke, kudos. Meanwhile I could barely crawl out of bed. It was too hot to sleep, 2nd night in a row.

To be fair I'm very well trained so used to those type of conditions.

Do you have a fan? Helped me sleep last few nights didn't need the AC. It gets colder at nights luckily

Nice - do you run often? Been running for 2 years now - a pretty rewarding hobby if you're consistent with it!

Running in 26 degrees sounds pretty grim, fair play!

That's so good for improving time, too, training hot and out of the comfort zone. Do you ever do hills with heat? I bet you're getting faster.

We do have a few fans set up in the bedroom, I'd be dead without them. The noise also helps me sleep.

I just suffer when it's so hot, last night we only got down to a low of 80/26 by midnight. Tonight is supposed to be cooler then a low of 59F/15C is predicted in a couple days. Can't wait for that

I heard people that run a lot have very bad feet like hard skin on the heel and manky toes etc. Don't know if true just posting what I saw online a lot.
