Since I got the week off and its 30 degrees I'm outside in the sun all afternoons listening to music. Great timing for the summer playlist!

Gave JT's a couple of listens yesterday, liked it a lot!

    Summer Party - Justin Trudeau

Summertime is an all time classic. Not sure what to say about this, we all know it and it's played on every summer party.

Set it Off like I said I knew it already, but just the remix w Dre. While I love Dre's verse, the OG is obviously just as great w Clipse. Never been a fan of Kardinal himself btw, like at all, but he had some interesting features every now and then. Like this one.

Batter Up: so yeah Ride with Me is another summer essential so glad you picked another one. I'm kinda ashamed to say this but don't think I ever heard this. But also happy with this because this gonna get played a lot!

Feel So Good is similar to the previous one, a smooth rap song perfect for this time of year.

Midwest Thing: now this is my kinda music lmao. The ones before were already great but this vibes! Like a Ride w Me part 2.

People seem to have forgotten about Luda and it has been a long time since he was great but during his prime the dude had some classic songs. This is a good example, dude flows and the hook is very funky.

Me So Horny is very corny lmao but it's funny as h---.

Bust A Move, man I wish I could go back to a summer in the 80's or 90's when all this stuff came out. As much as I love Janice STFU this just hits different.

Tipsy another b-----r, perfectly for the club or a beach party.

The Anthem has a lot of energy but like I said never been a huge fan of Kardinall. The hook is great though, nice for crowds to sing/scream along.

All Star, good a little break from rap! Also an all time classic. This song always reminds me of that movie 'Rat Race' where I heard it first.

Teenage Dirtbag is another classic for sure but being honest I always hated this song lol. His voice annoys the f--- out of me especially during the hook. So whiny lol.

Semi Charmed Life I like a lot more. Except the tu tu tu part. Really cool to hear all these songs again from years ago!

Smooth is a 10/10. Love Santana, dude has a lot of great collabs even a few weeks back dropped one w queen Becky. But smooth song is timeless. Perfect combo with the Latin sound. Rob also kills it!

Someday is nice, honestly if I had my tape before you I would also put it on there. OH WAIT....

Smoke 2 Joints is so d--- smooth. Never heard it actually. Nice closer.

Lots of new songs I added! Great playlist.

Favorite songs: smooth, batter up, midwest swing, saturday but 90% of the rest I also liked a lot.

    Giving this an 8.8/10!

Yeah, I played the mixtape. The neighbors came over asking us to turn it down. They said it was drowning out their Lil Pump and Machine Gun Kelly.
    Thanks bro

Justin Trudeau - Justin Trudeau’s Summer Party

    RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 7/10

First thing’s first I’m the realest. Secondly, there’s a lot of classics on this tape. I like how the tape flows from 80s-90s hip hop to early 2000s hip hop to late 2000s hip hop. Then it transitions to a rock section during the second half, allowing for more genre variety on the tape. I personally prefer the hip hop section, but some of the rock songs are classics as well.

Starting the tape off with a track called “Summertime” is fitting. Will Smith’s rapping can be corny but I suppose it kinda works here. You have some hard rapping (Set It Off, Saturday) and some extremely danceable hip hop tracks (Batter Up, Feel so Good, Bust A Move, Tipsy) while I feel Midwest Swing is a combination of both of those categories. The Anthem is also nice.

Then we get to the rock section which has classics like All Star, Teenage Dirtbag, Semi-Charmed Life, and Smooth. Someday is a good track as well although I wouldn’t personally consider it a classic. Well, there we have it. I liked all of the tracks on tape… except for the two you might’ve noticed I didn’t mention yet.

Me So Horny and Smoke Two Joints are the tracks that majorly brought down the score for me. Smoke Two Joints is alright but doesn’t do much for me and ultimately feels like a very anticlimactic ending to the tape. The sample on Me So Horny is absolutely awful. I wouldn’t be caught dead listening to this song. It reminds me of some of the dogshit samples that get used today.

Other than that, I like the tape. Lots of classics here to enjoy. I’m surprised it took this long for All Star to get used. Tipsy might be my favorite song here, I just love the sound that was going on back then. I could definitely see Ice Spice remixing Me So Horny, that would definitely be contender for worst rap song of all time if that happened. Despite my issues with it, this is still a good tape so bravo @AOTWClub
