Where will be Hip-Hop in 10 years?

"Which of today's key players will still be relevant?
Will hip-hop enjoy as much chart success, or more, or less?
Will successful white rappers become a common sight?
Which of today's artists will be the object of nostalgia?
Will the fragmentation of the hip-hop genre continue?"

    inspired by this https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!searchin/alt.rap/eminem/alt.rap/oX1exJq15QU/9e8t2tSdtFgJ

Btw the third question screams Macklemore and Iggy lol

If Hip-Hop's future is anything like Iggy, or Mackle..it's in for a steep decline, it's almost there now.

I could see it reverting to the 90's sound, imo. I think the trap sound will still be around for awhile, but after that I could see it going back :kanye3:

I've talked to people about this and I think it will be very different. Rock now is not the same as it was in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. its changed. So we'll just have to wait and see where hip hop goes. The problem with white rappers is when they don't show respect for hip hop. And white consumers. The parents that go "I only let my kids listen to Macklemore, Eminem, and Iggy" Just because they are white. It's that line of thinking that worries me. Macklemore has really worked hard to be respectful. I recommend checking out his interview on Hot 97 if you haven't. Iggy on the other hand straight up disrespects the culture at every turn. From putting racist jokes in her songs/videos to showing a complete lack of understanding of the culture/Not acknowledging her privilege.

Where have you heard parents publicly say they will only let there kids listen to white rappers? That's an absurd comment. Macklemore is a cornball lame ridden with white guilt. What a fa---- to text kendrick telling him he should have won the Grammy and then post it for everyone to see

Trap music made hip hop more dumbed down than it already was.

Really not that far off. He's got two already. 3 if you count Section .80. I know a lot of people diss TPAB on here but it's still universally claimed as an amazing album by 90% of critics.
