Nov 28, 2017 This morning, the 2018 Grammy Award nominations were revealed. Notably absent from the list were A Tribe Called Quest, who received zero nominations for their final album We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your service, which was issued at the end of 2016 and eligible for this year’s awards. Q-Tip has now responded on Twitter, “f--- da grammys!!!” He also posted three videos to Instagram, elaborating, “We were the most black, cultured group out. That’s all we stood on. That’s what we represented, This last Tribe album, this stands with everyone else’s s--- that’s up there. I don’t give a f---.” In the videos, Tip also mentioned Tribe’s powerful performance at the 2017 Grammys. “I’m sick of y’all f---in’ Grammy n----s, man. Ya’ll get us get out there to perform last year and close and s---, and y’all don’t get us no f---ing nominations?” Find Q-Tip’s tweet and videos below. Pitchfork has contacted A Tribe Called Quest’s representatives for further comment. https://pitchfork.com/news/q-tip-f----da-grammys/
Nov 28, 2017 I loved the album when it came out, but it lost replay value real quick...also wasn't better than 4:44 or d---
Nov 28, 2017 d---, didn't realise We Got It From Here was eligible, def like it more than anything nominated.
Nov 28, 2017 Grammys have always been known for fuckery when it comes to Hip Hop. Q-Tip shouldn't be surprised.
