Jul 31, 2015 Q.Miller is credited as a writer on these tracks. It's not like it isn't readily available public knowledge that Drake had a team of people working with him on writing. Almost all artists do. Reference tracks are also very common in music. Who's to say that the hooks weren't already written and songs already written (with Q.Miller's help of course) and he recorded different versions as an example of how he would flow on the song? That is very probable. And a lot of the lyrics were obviously since rewritten, seeing as songs go through rewrites so you're just acting ridiculous about Q.Miller. To say Drake isn't an authentic artist is just flat out asinine.
Jul 31, 2015 THIS. Reference tracks aren't necessarily ghostwritten tracks. As a producer and writer, I hop on a track when my guy gives me lyrics to work with cause he wants to see if there's a different flow other than his and if he should do it that way

Jul 31, 2015 I give him the benefit of doubt because like I just stated, as a producer and writer, I do this for a couple people. I don't write their lyrics cause they've explicitly ask me not to but they give me their lyrics they write on their own and ask "hey, I got a flow already but I wanna see if there something else hidden like another flow or something man". For all I know drake could be using a ghost writer, but for what I know about reference tracks and such, they don't necessarily mean it's been ghostwritten. It's like when the weeknd said he had 5 versions of each song off of kiss land. 5 different flows he did, I'm sure he had reference tracks for those if he got 5 different tracks for each song.
