    Written by: Aaron Sorkin
    Directed by: Danny Boyle
Based on: the Walter Isaacson biography
Starring: Michael Fassbender (as Jobs), Seth Rogan, Jessica Chastain

No official title or release date yet but seeing as Universal just paid $30 million for the rights to the movie from Sony, production should start sooner than later.

Personally, I'm very much looking forward to this. I think it has a chance to be just as good as The Social Network even if I'm still a little bummed Bale isn't playing Jobs anymore.

Will update the thread with news as it comes.

Natalie Portland joined this as well.

I was all in when this was David Fincher's film, which would have been a companion piece for The Social Network, and had potential to be his best film (he grew up in the same general area, both are pioneers in their respective industries, both were incredibly progressive in terms of technological advancements), but now I couldn't be less enthused because I don't like Danny Boyle's style and don't think it will (and don't want it to) translate into this project.

I agree with @Woody. I'd probably see this for Fassbender, but can't say this interests me much at all.

Word, losing Fincher and then Bale definitely hurt the hype level for this. Fassbender is a good replacement, but Boyle is not.

I'll definitely still be watching though.

Of course Fincher directing would have been more exciting but he's been out of the picture (no pun intended) on this for a while now and there are a lot worse directors out there than Boyle.

It's still an Aaron Sorkin script about Steve Jobs. I can't f---in wait.

Yeah I too was hyped when Fincher & Bale were attached. Even after Fincher bowed out and Bale was still attached I was still in. But now, if I go see this, no matter how good I might think it is, all I would do is wonder how much better it might've been had the 2 of them been involved. I just don't know if I can picture Magneto playing Steve Jobs.

I'm sure that a script from Aaron Sorkin will be light years ahead of Matt Whiteley's script for the ill-fated effort from last year that Ashton Kutcher headlined. That said, I'm going to need to see a trailer showing some of Fassbender's performance in order to convince me it is worth a look.

Is it true that Jobs didn't go to doctor to try to beat his cancer?

I heard he tried using alternative methods or something like that
