    The fact that Hov picked him to represent the new school with this Tidal project is hilarious. But I guess selling 375k units in a week with 2 weeks notice and no single/radio/press/interviews is affirmation that he's a bigger star than he lets on :idk:

    I agree, he proved he's better than Kendrick and Eminem and only trailing Drake to be the greatest of all time.

    i agree, we're the same age pretty much so I think we were exposed to a lot of the same music growing up lol

    but hov picked cole to help promote this service over a mogul like puff. :weebey:

    nah, if i had to guess the breakdown is probably similar to:
    jay-z: 20%
    tidal developer: 5-10%
    the other artists on the stage: 1-2%

    thats just me guessing, but hov brought in what he felt were icons in multiple genres to help promote this. its similar to what made beats by dre such a success, every celebrity endorsing it.

    oh and that doesn't add up to 100%, i know.

    price will inevitably decrease as more artists join. Jay z practically left no choice to other streaming apps. He already has some of the biggest artists co-owning the app, once JT, taylor swift, and drake sign to tidal its a wrap.

    Music will be 100% digital soon enough. If hov can turn tidal into the netflix of music, which he can with all these artists that are on board, his $67 million investment is chump change
