Shortly after, he posted a photo of a April 29, 2015 Associated Press article with the headline "AT&T fires president for sending racist texts and images." A Starz spokesperson said in a statement given to The Hollywood Reporter: "Starz is in ongoing negotiations with AT&T U-verse to continue distributing its 30 STARZ and ENCORE channels and services at a fair and reasonable rate. Without a new agreement, the millions of AT&T customers who have chosen to subscribe and pay for STARZ and ENCORE will be at risk of losing these channels and the popular original programming like Powerand Outlander, as well as thousands of movies. Starz has enjoyed a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with AT&T until now. We are hopeful AT&T will negotiate in good faith and that we will reach a fair agreement that allows its customers to continue to get great entertainment at a good value." Starz and Encore serve a combined 57.5 million subscribers, including 23.7 million at Starz, and 33.8 million at Encore, making them the largest pair of premium flagship channels in the U.S. According to a company spokesperson, Power is the highest performing series in Starz’s history with more than 6.3 million multiplatform viewers per episode and has the largest concentration of African-American viewers for a scripted premium series since 2006. Smh 50 out here trying to distract people from his bankruptcy by lying to people by using the race card. This gonna backfire on him.
Jul 18, 2015 1. he didnt go bankrupt. he filed for it for a company. its a business stragety. this way he wont have to pay rick ross wife all that money.. he will only have to pay a smaller portion and dit wont go to her, itll go to her lawyers. smh dumbasses learn business 2. hes either dumb or this is a publicity stunt to just get ppl to go see southpaw and watch his show
Jul 18, 2015 Lol this is not a win. AT&T is gonna wind up suing him. He looking real desperate right now
Jul 18, 2015 How is he lying? They fired the president for a reason. I don't see him getting sued lol It probably is a distraction, being that this happened in April...and brings it up now
Jul 18, 2015 That has nothing to do with starz encore not being possibly being on AT&T. They didn't drop the channels. They are in negotiations to renew the contract. He just mad they might not have a new deal soon enough and he would lose 500,000 viewers of his show
Jul 18, 2015 Yeah but this time he going after a multi billion dollar company. Not some bum a--- rapper. This might not work out for him. No company in America wants to be viewed as racist towards blacks
Jul 18, 2015 He filed for bankruptcy so people no longer target him with lawsuits. If all his money is in his businesses rather than his name they'd get f--- all.
Jul 18, 2015 Im confused. AT&T made racist remarks, but 50 cent will get in trouble for saying they are racist? AT&T is already involved in a 10 billion dollar lawsuit for racial discrimination. I don't see them going after 50.
Jul 18, 2015 Yeah that was because the case with Rick Ross' wife was over before he claimed so he still has to pay the 5mil, just in instalments rather than the whole 5mil at once
Jul 18, 2015 An employee was terminated for the remarks. He just bringing that up to benefit him. It has nothing to do with what is going on with starz/encore channels. They are trying to negotiate a new deal right now
