Apr 17, 2025 Getting ready to hit its 10 year anniversary, I honestly CANNOT THINK of any other commercial failure released through Shady Records or / and by Eminem (from 1998 onwards). It was the post MMLP2 / pre Revival era, I mean even the RIAA has 0 certifications for it and the last info regarding numbers that we have go back to Jan 2017 when the album had sold 91,000. I mean EVEN Shady XV from months earlier has been certified Gold by the RIAA (double album which makes it a whole lot easier though) but it still sold way more... The fact that both projects were released in an 8 month span... Just makes the whole thing "Ain't nothing but a cash grab".... If I'm not mistaking, you can't find the Southpaw OST in the album list for Eminem on neither Spotify, Deezer or Apple Music... They've been trying to distance themselves from that commercial disaster.... Edit : Today I know that i would just DIE to get an official release of ANYTHING like Shady XV or the Southpaw OST... 3 and a half years between Side B of MTBMB and TDOSS... when you think that a decade ago it was nearly every single year (Relapse, Recovery, BME, Shady XV, Southpaw OST, Revival, Kamikaze, MTBMB, Side B... that's what we got from 2009 to 2020..!
Apr 17, 2025 I dont know what is on your mind. But all platforms put albums with various artists in various artists section. It is normal that you can't find this ost in eminem's discography. But just write southpaw soundtrack in search you will find. Also some labels can ban music from regions.
Apr 17, 2025 Yeah I totally get that, I'm just saying it aint like the 8 Mile OST which is part of Eminem albums (though it's once again, various artists), Re-Up & Shady XV are also various artists but they're in the Eminem album list too

Apr 17, 2025 EXACTLY! The hype was around Em portraying the main character... He decided he wouldnt' act yet again, that's fine, but that OST really was a joke... I remember hating on Phenomenal the day it got released... oh my... its in my top 3 worst eminem songs

Apr 17, 2025 the hook sounded like 2 hooks playing at the same time, like he didn't know which one to keep and ended up having one play over the other, such a mess.
