Over the years alot of tracks & albums go over our heads, post your favorite hidden gems & help expand our minds.
If possible, please add a little info about each track, so we learn more about an artist or artists.

I'll get this thread started with L'Orange, I don't know if many people know about his music; he's a producer, his albums are mainly instrumental and feature rappers like Blu, yU, billy woods etc; he uses soul samples perfectly and gives his albums a cinematic structure. He made a joint album with Stik Figa, called The City Under The City, in 2013, definitely worth checking out; another good starting point would be his 2012 album The Mad Writer. His other albums/tapes are very good as well, and have something different to offer, but the 2 I mentioned would be the best starting points imo.

I can't really choose a favourite song because I always listen to full projects by him, so I'll post a song that features Open Mike Eagle, because he's great



Then there's a 6 song EP by Epidemic and Tantu that came out a few months ago. Tbh I don't know much about them, I think Tantu produced this and Epidemic rapped (the EP has 2 features, Fashawn and Johaz). A good short listen, might lead you to check out Epidemic's 2012 album Monochrome Skies.
