Most impactful on the whole region, defying the sound for the others. I'm interested on your take on that.

Do we take into account their producing careers too? If so, I think it’d be hard to argue anyone on the west coast but Dr. Dre.

Boosie Badazz probably one of the best to ever do it from the South, in terms of influence I can't think of anyone from the South even coming close. You can hear his sound in a lot of the popular young artist from the South today, Kodak Black, NBA Youngboy, and all the spawn offs those two have created. In terms of my personal favorite, it's probably T.I. Though I didn't like his recent album, he's always held a pretty strong place for me musically

For West Coast rappers, a lot of people would probably argue that it's Tupac just because of the impact he had, but in my honest opinion as someone who actively listens to a lot of Bay Area music, I feel like Easy E had a pretty strong impact on a lot of these upcoming cats, you can hear his flow in a lot the artist in this generation.

I don't really know about anywhere else, for Midwest probably Chief Keef, he founded the structure of what modern hip-hop is, and like it or not it's one of the most popular contributions we've had.

How about east? It's way too hard to pick someone. I'd say Rakim

i really dont know tbh. in terms of more modern influence there's Wu Tang, Gangstarr, Jay-Z... maybe Nas. 50 was pretty influential. Definitley Rakim but then I guess you could go way back and start talking about Run DMC, Cool J, Public Enemy, etc. Its tough to say.

And for Midwest I guess I'd say Kanye, Cudi, Chief Keef, maybe Bone Thugs.
