So I got my hands on the instrumentals for every song from Dr. Dre's album 2001 recently, and I really love the production on that album. I figured I would try my hand at writing my own lyrics to every beat on the album.

So I started writing to The Watcher, and I wanted to share my progress with you guys and hopefully get some good feedback to help me complete the song.

So as most of you know, I'm not a huge fan of most modern hip-hop, and I tried to get that to translate into my lyrics here. Not dissing producers for not writing, dissing producers for slapping their name on every d--- track when they're not who people came for.

    LYRICS:

    Things just ain't the same
These days, yet people tryna say
    Not a d--- things changed
    There's tons more than before
    In the game
    So how you gonna say
    That it's all the same
    I'm tired of the bs
    That people call music
    They got a lotta fame
    And already misused it
    And whoever produced it
    Ain't dodgin' the blame
    If the track's f---in' whack
Then we're drawn to your name
    Stop with the tags,
    Mike Will Messed Up
    "Mustard on tha--"
SHUT THE f--- UP! (layer vocals)
    You're not the star
    Nobody cares who you are
    You make the beats,
    You don't write the bars
    Get a f---in' clue, dude
    If your s---'s sick
    We'll take the time out
    To YouTube it
And I don't even wanna comment
on Khaled. We the best music?
    Just f---in' drop dead

    Every song that I hear
Might be the worst of the year (The New School)
And every station I'm tuned to
Plays the same f---in' tunes too (The New School)
    I'm so tired of hip-hop
But I can't seem to stop (The New School)
    Every time my hope rises
The beat f---in' drops (god d---)

    Now, I understand
    I might've got you pissed
    A no-name dissed me?
    Who the f---'s this?
    I'm just a guy
    Out the public eye
    Tryna make sure
    Hip-hop don't die
    And I'm well-equipped
    To deal with this
Got a mic and a beat
    I'll k--- this s---
    f--- the fame,
    I don't need the riches
    I just wanna prove
    That your crews are b------s
    Those boos and hisses
    Are all for you
    What's your next move?
    What can you do?
    When you fanbase drops you
    Faster than the beat drops
    Your next release is
    Late like Detox
    Years later, the featured artists
    Are people you never would
    Have seen to start with
    Your beats are garbage
    They ain't worth s---
    If I'm lookin' for talent
    Then you ain't it

    Every song that I hear
Might be the worst of the year (The New School)
And every station I'm tuned to
Plays the same f---in' tunes too (The New School)
    I'm so tired of hip-hop
But I can't seem to stop (The New School)
    Every time my hope rises
The beat f---in' drops (god d---)

    Things just ain't the same
In this world, nobody wants to rap
They just drink and sip syrup
Your career has gone way too long
How many times can you make the same song
This s---'s wrong, nah, it ain't cool
How'd we get from Chuck D
    To Pitbull
Music used to have a point
But now it's all about club beats
    And joints
If the rap game was about
    Survivin', I'd vote
    Lil Uzi off the island
    It's sink or swim, b----
    Become an adapter
    Or drown in a sea
    Of Soundcloud rappers
    If you're not aware,
    I can tell you after
    Copperhead's gonna write
    The next chapter
    Forget the passwords,
    I just can't quit
    But mark my words,
    I'm gonna fix this s---

    Every song that I hear
Might be the worst of the year (The New School)
And every station I'm tuned to
Plays the same f---in' tunes too (The New School)
    I'm so tired of hip-hop
But I can't seem to stop (The New School)
    Every time my hope rises
The beat f---in' drops (god d---)

Finished the song, changed the title, uploaded the full version, and swapped everything in the OP.

    Feedback is appreciated.
