Mar 8, 2017 It's no secret that Brodie season is a majestic sight to behold We are in the midst of a historic season, the likes of which hasn't been seen in half a decade. Numbers that were thought to have never been reached again are being reached. It should come as no surprise that a once in a lifetime physical force of nature would be the one to do it. Yet, even with the Greek God Russell Flexbrook at the helm, the Thunder have lost 4 straight against mediocre teams. Reaching the pinnacle of his career scoring on absolutely surgical efficiency, the Thunder still lost. What gives? This is the Thunder dilemma, a dilemma that is has begun to bolster the voices of those who echoed KD's complaints of selfish ball. When Westbrook scores over 40 points, the Thunder tend to lose. When he gets trips, they win an overwhelming amount. The issue as of late is the issue that every sports analyst covering the season has said; the Thunder are just Westbrook. His team has underperformed in most categories these last 4 games. How many more times can one man watch Steven Adams miss an easy bucket due to not keeping hold of the ball? How many more open shots will Roberson, Sabonis and Grant miss? This is the OKC problem, but the dilemma is how does Westgoat handle it. Can he will this team to wins through sheer victory? Or can the team come through enough through passing for open shots
Mar 8, 2017 Honestly I don't really think OKC is under performing, they're about where I'd expect them to be...they don't exactly have the best all around team but Russ is a beast so that's why they'll get in the playoffs at least. They just gotta hope they can bring in some free agents to help out Westbrook this offseason, nothing they can do until then but get destroyed by the Spurs in the 1st round if that's the match up.
Mar 8, 2017 I mean they lost a top 3 player in the league of course they weren't gonna win 50 games. They're exactly where they should be with this roster. Bad move signing Oladipo for 20 million too. It's cool that he re-upped, it showed loyalty but it was also a huge short term raise for him. I don't think they convince another star to go to OKC, so not sure Russ ever gets a ring if he sticks around. The real dilemma is gonna be convincing him to stick around after next year lol.
Mar 8, 2017 He's not stat padding when he has to do everything just to win. Including play making all the assists. You see that when he doesn't "stat pad" he puts up 45+ a game and they lose.
Mar 8, 2017 Westgoat with Wiggins and Towns would be absolute mayhem. The highlight reels would break records. Not to mention they'd have a top 3 player in the world as a veteran leader. They'd be lethal.
