Dec 13, 2017 He started the album with WOW and Believe then the train went off the tracks. If this was condensed to like 10 songs this could've been his 4th classic, better than MMLP2 Walk On Water Believe Untouchable River Revival interlude Like Home Bad Husband Nowhere Fast Offended In Your Head Castle Arose Instead we get a very inconsistent album filled with more generic pop relationships, a cringy relapse throwaway, very cringe rick rubin rock rap f---ing anthems and more untapped potential. Believe, Bad Husband, Castle, and Arose are some of his best songs he's ever written (yea I said it) but the greatness of these are overshadowed by some extremely mediocre songs I don't think he'll ever put together an all around great to classic level album again. As soon as he taps into something great he doubles down with the safe and painfully average. He needs to go back to self production and be around hip hop minds and people who will be honest with his material. Leave Paul behind. This pop stuff wearing very stale. Lyrically hes evolved and is better than ever. Musically however he is still stuck in mediocrity. I believed in you Marshall Spoiler I still believe in you Marshall that last classic is in there somewhere. I will never turn my back on you
Dec 13, 2017 Also the Revival/ America concept is very messy. This could've been executed so much better
Dec 13, 2017 I never want to hear Like Home, Bad Husband, Nowhere Fast, Offended or In Your Head again, so I think half your tracklist is pure trash
Dec 13, 2017 Couldn't have said it better. I wanted to write my opinion after the first listen. Also why doesn't he rap consistently ? Maybe WoW is most consistent flowed song on the whole album
Dec 13, 2017 yeah you're out of your f---ing mind if you think River, Like Home, Bad Hubsand, Nowhere Fast and Offended ever needed to be put on a record ever LMAOO
Dec 13, 2017 Like I can get over good sounding song with trash lyrics but a trash ssong with good lyrics is still unlistenable
