Can anyone help me out here? I'm having a conversation with my friend and I mentioned how Thug has a relatively impressive vocabulary (especially considering if you've ever spent any time in an inner city high school English classroom), but now that he's asking for examples I'm blanking. What are some words he's used that you might not expect someone like him to know?

I dont think im as impressed by his vocabulary as i am by just how aware he is of s---. Only stuff i cant think of is lines like "she pull up and f--- the crew like she conniving" idk tho

the only one I could think of is from Mixtape lol, perimeter, but I know I've been listening in the past and been like, "huh, that was cool that he used that word." I just don't want to have to put his discography on shuffle and listen closely to remember

it just feels weird to say "here are the list of words im surprised someone like him knows" lol

but yeah like @El Ares ive been surprised by his self-awareness more than anything else...like when he says "$5000 on yeezys, they think I aint jesus"

or, uses the word "therefore" or the phrase "paying homage"

or when he says "in a house full of grown folk, you're my bread and butter" lol

i just dont pay attention to this type of thing enough anymore to have more examples off top. if i was listening to his s--- rn tho id probably be able to come up with more examples

hes literally gone on record saying he likes to have a studio near him at all times so that if he learns a new word or concept he can make a whole song around it

Oddly enough peon seems to be becoming slang as well. I've heard a couple rappers including Future (I know a peon, got more chains than Dion) and seen people say it on FB a bit.
