If you are disappointed that Kendrick Lamar did not win Album of the Year, Song of the Year, or Best Music Video, take solace in the fact that To p---- a Butterfly album sales are up a whopping 411% since the Grammys. According to HDD virtually every album received a boost in sales in the week after the Grammys. Only two albums received a bigger boost than TPAB: Alabama Shakes' Sound & Color (nominated for Album of the Year)is up 494%; Tori Kelly's Unbreakable Smile (nominated for Best New Artist) is up 418%. Feb 24, 2016 I'm not sure about what the total sales are now, but in the week following the Grammys he sold an additional 32,594 units. I think this might include streaming though, I'm not entirely sure.
Feb 24, 2016 I'm not sure if it would boost sales dramatically. Also, I don't think Kendrick should release a deluxe edition of TPAB until the album's tenth anniversary or something.
