Dec 25, 2018 TPAB has always been the album I could rely on no matter what or when, but ranking it higher than d---. is like “calling your peanut butter sandwich a not fast aeroplane, they are just not in the same context”. d---. did things TPAB couldn’t do like bring in new fans that motivated them to listen further into Kendrick’s art, and talk about contrasting traits of Kendrick’s/our personality (e.g. LOVE. and LUST., as well as, PRIDE. and HUMBLE., etc.) inro.in/lucky-patcher inro.in/9apps inro.in/vidmate At the same time TPAB did things d---. couldn’t, the beautifully complex lyrical content, the jazz influence that challenged today’s standards of music, the massive variety of emotions and different voices projected from Kendrick, etc. I bet we could go on like this for all of Kendrick’s albums, but based on what I see, I don’t think it’s fair to compare these albums in such a simplistic way. I’m happy to read all of your opinions, whether you agree, disagree or both.
Dec 25, 2018 d---. is the album that I have listened to the most by Kendrick. TPAB is his most unique work ever. Even though they were some beats I didN't really feel, there were some amazing stuff on that too. GKMC is the generic Kendrick album. It's great tho. All 3 are classics. I don't really like SXN80 that much but I didn't really give it the attention it deserved anyway. It's not really an album. So Kendrick has 3 great albums, probably all of them are classics. I wouldn't compare them at all. But d--- is my fav.
Jan 7, 2019 that's because d--- is easier to consume. If you can constantly reread a generic novel because you find it entertaining and easy to read, that doesn't necessarily mean it's better than a Brothers Karamazov. what is this
