    Lyrics :

    Chorus

I've got something to say to you
youve got something to say to me
    I'm out of quarters
    can't pay no more
    are you staying or going
    leave late in the morning
what are we waiting for ?
maybe one day well see that see that see that

    (verse 1)

We were real good but we met when our hearts
were not ready for that level yet
& plus the adults have us stressed feet pressed to the pedal
with no breath inbetween to express how we ever felt
When I look back I forever wept
Lived in a glass house that i never kept careful
enough for a rock that was thrown that i'd never catch
instead A mess that would pile up
that all came crashing down like it was dial up internet
I'm learning to deal with attachment
To love but from afar without getting swept
    up in the action
I'm on the cusp of attracting the love of my life
Which gets lost in the fight for my one and my only
    Someone that shows me
    just once that theres magic
& I'll be Done with the habits
addictions that crash my whole system
I need to take a page from my own book of wisdom
to shift my attention I'll go get a book
and get lost in it till I no longer have problems
but As the universe would have it
to waste time with us would be havoc
I haven't seen you in a long time,
caught you out of the corner and we locked eyes
You run & I run I catch up Yell your name, you embrace, Turn around
Stare each other in the face like wow, take a second to calm down then say

Yeah when I hear it back I can pickup a few spots myself that could have used tweaking. Its my second time in this sound. Hopefully I can better adjust in the future

  5. okay i like the direction alot. i think that on the hook, the higher pitched vocals in the background were great but the lower pitched vocals were awkward to listen to. try experimenting with different vocal combinations and effects to get the best sounding results. its great that you're playing around with harmony and stuff like that though, thats not something i see often. i also agree with some of the mixing critiques like that other guy said.

also id just like to add that if i were rapping that verse, i would tackle it with a more laid back delivery, almost lazy sounding. it would compliment the song better imo. listen to some solo Kevin Abstract material, like his songs "Drugs" and "Echo". he makes similar sounding stuff. his delivery is something that sounds good on beats like the one on this track. id suggest looking into that.

production was dope, i was messing with it from that standpoint.

lyrically its actually not that bad, pretty nice imo. i like the sentiment and artistic vision all in all. keep at it. nice stuff.

  6. Thank you so much. I really loved hearing that perspective. I see exactly what you are saying. It's cool too learn about other artists that I might sound like. Thanks for the new artists suggestion. Ill keep your tips in mind in the future. I usually am softer on my tracks so I was trying to bring it a bit more. Haha

I really like this except the dial up part could have been shortened I understood right away

    But literally sounded really nice

haha Yeah I could have maybe made it shorter. It's hard to tell sometimes with stuff like that. I imagined it being a pause moment in a dance atmosphere
