There are a lot theories why the quality of his music has declined - drugs, no longer working with the Bass Brothers, Pauls contribution etc

I personally think the Bass Brothers were a massive contribution to Eminems success and ever since they stopped working with each other Eminem hasn't really hit the same heights as he once did.

What do you think changed the quality of Eminems music?

Just time really. He can't do what he did back in 2000 just cause that emotion is gone. I still think his current music is great but he can't replicate that passionate sound he had in like 2000 when he was new to the game. I mean he has been in the game for over 15 years, I wouldn't expect him to still be like how he was in 2000.

I think that he has matured a lot...he isnt what he was in 2002. He's grown up....a lot less has happened to him after his recovery from drugs. So he may have lost his fire too. He isnt angry at anything in particular. That has effected his music a lot. That's why he is dissing less number of people. :/

I think part of it is that he simply lost the huger. He had a lot to prove when he first came out and was naturally talented. Combine that with the passion and anger he had and he was untouchable. More recently he doesn't seem to have the fire he once had. I also think he's heavily influenced by the people he surrounds himself with (e.g. Dre and Bass Brothers when he first came out, the G-Unit wigger phase). Paul/Interscope pushing poppy s--- to sell records after Relapse was commercially/critically disappointing. After signing Slaughterhouse and hanging with Royce he focused on being really technical, miracle lyrical s---, and compromised just trying to sound smooth or sonically appealing.

he is not so raw and unique anymore. if you look at him and listen to interview, he is behaving like every other superstar.
at his very best he looked and talked like a normal dude who somehow had a great talent.
    cant change that

"Till the fire inside dies and expires at 30"
He seems to have lost the passion that he had when he started. I mean he still loves to make music but that fire isn't there anymore. Plus age, Drugs, maturity, and as GawDEDEDE said, Complacency. And this

I agree. He is definitely influenced by whomever he is working with at the time (like any artist). Relapse may have been annoying with the accents but it had the best production of any of his Post Hiatus out put. Recovery he worked with more pop artists like RiRi, Pink, and Wayne as well as poppy producers like Alex Da Kid. When he signed Slaughter House he became focused on technical rap. I still believe in his ability to put out a good album. He just needs to put all the pieces together and collab/work with the right people. My vote goes to Dre, Bass Brothers, and Kanye for producing his next album.

    He's a clone :lmaooo:
Times change, and he had to change to stay relevant. Would you really want someone as old as a teenager's parents to rap about the things he did in the early 2000's?
I hate when rappers lose their huger :emoji_disappointed:
I agree with your post though.
