Jun 17, 2017 What skills make up the overall skill for a rapper? What skills make up the overall skill for an artist? Before I go into depth of my question , I believe that both skills combined makes the GOAT and that I only make an opinion on a rapper based on their overall ability of both sets of skill. I am entirely confused with both skill sets. I understand that influence and discography definitely count for the artist part. I also understand poetic skill and rhyme scheme make up the rapper part. What I dont understand is , where would you categorise Delivery , Flow , Charisma , Mic Presence ? Basically I dont know every value of both skill sets Thanks in advance for helping me and commenting
Jun 17, 2017 The IT Factor can't really explain it and that's the point Delivery/Flow Lyricism and Wordplay Subject Matter They're all pretty equal tho but if you have good flow you can make it today just look at yachty, if you have good flow and lyricism like early Eminem you good and if you have all three you golden ponyboy.
Jun 17, 2017 Charisma (Voice, Prescense, Style, etc) Flow/Delivery/Cadence/the abundance of all three Lyricism (Punchlines, Wordplay, Alliteration, rhyme patterns, etc) Ability to craft a quality hook Ability to pick quality and fitting beats Subject Matter Storytelling

Jun 17, 2017 It's kinda hard to rate. I think you need to at least be serviceable in each category. Maybe delivery is the most important. I don't wanna hear nobody rapping like it's their day off and they wanna go home early.
