Oct 29, 2015 I liked it, but I didn't get as hyped as a lot of the regulars on RB. I did for Relapse though
Oct 29, 2015 I hated not afraid, and I didn't understand the hype about it. Now I consider it one of his best, specially 3rd verse
Oct 29, 2015 I didn't know about it. But I heard Talkin 2 Myself and LTWYL on the internet before the album was out and I thought I was the s---
Oct 29, 2015 I thought it was garbage when i first heard it. It grew on me YEARS later, i enjoy the theme of the album way more now, i'm still not a fan of the production or hooks though.
Oct 29, 2015 Crazy to me that Recovery came out over 5 years ago now. Initial reaction was that it was pretty solid. Give or take a few tracks like Won't Back Down, You're Never Over. I have no issue with Not Afraid. I get why people dislike the song but it was never a problem for me. I thought of it as a solid anthem which it became. Favourite track is probably Seduction or Space Bound.
Oct 29, 2015 I remember I refused to listen to Relapse until the official release but between Refill and "Won't Back Down" being released I didn't have that same confidence in Recovery. When I heard it I was pleasantly surprised. A few bad eggs but overall I felt, and still feel, this is the type of music he should be making at 40. It's no Eminem Show, but it's a solid body of work that doesn't tarnish his legacy.
Oct 29, 2015 I remember not listenin' to it untill I buy the cd and that's incredible because it was kinda like the first time ever a foreign rap album released in my country as same day as it released in the USA. I remember listenin' to it from the beginning to the end. My first impression was like, there were very few songs that actually sounded like Eminem On Fire, Going Through Changes, Seduction and So Bad. I just thought it has no replay value because of the stupid beats and yelling seemed hard to enjoy for more than an hour. I guess ny first time that I actually able to listen and understand the words was when I listened to it with my beats studio.Sounded a lot better. MMLP 2 was better in that sense. I thought it was classic after 1st listen.
