Why don't some artists get credited?

Something I've wondered about certain songs is why certain artists who have a prominent part don't get credited for the song? Like Ty$ in Kanye's "Real Friends"... is there something behind that kinda thing that determines whether they get a "feat." credit?

help me understand the music biz

EDIT: better way to put it would be just the "feat." tag. because I know they get credited in the booklet and s--- but I mean in the song title (if that makes sense)

Honestly don't know. Sometimes it's because too many features doesn't look good or if they're a very unknown artist. But in tys case it doesn't really make sense.

Could it be because they didn't they didn't contribute any writing? Like they just performed what the main artist wrote for them.

No. Maybe if they just did backing vocals it makes sense.

or maybe it could be because there were multiple people who worked on the concept, a line, a hook, etc,

Similar happened with Tory Lanez on the meek album. He has a very prominent hook in the song.

I know I honestly would never put work towards something and not want my name on it somewhere visible, but maybe some people just take what they can get I guess...
