Anyway, Then Ye's Piers Morgan interview from whenever rolled on and I was kinda letting it happen, until he just... well not just, i mean from the word go, EVERYTHING about race, and I know he's like this obviously, but, f--- me, it's just becomming an obsession with him. He so wants to be a victim, and make everything about it. Like, stfu. He's so annoying and insufferable, just in the way he makes it so deeply about his little f---ing ego issues as well, everything is about himself no matter if he tries to falsely paint some jesus-like-martyr type image of himself in any given situation for a sec, god he's gross. He gives an example of being 'followed around' in an expensive store even though he's rich... but wearing hoody n s--- and that's bc he's black... UHH no it's prolly bc they don't know who you fkn are for bro - not everybody on planet earth aka like a 60 year old woman knows who you are, and it's not bc you're black, it's bc you're wearing a hoody n dressed street... That happened to me as a kid and went and expensive stores too, when I dressed like that... it's a class judgement. Aug 2, 2024 I don't know, I find his videos kind of obnoxious as he has this fake energy and laugh, with a bunch of yes men around him. I haven't seen his sets, so tbh I'm basing my opinion solely on his podcast. Just seems like a bunch of foot stomping, knee slapping high school kids pretending to be dumb. And Louis pretty much called him out on it in the video @Chaotic Progress posted. (It was a long time ago I watched it, so I don't have the timestamp). Also one of the Shane Gillis videos was so hard to sit through though. It was like Andrew was doing everything he can to make sure he's the centre of attention and above him, not to mention the whole down syndrome thing that he kept running into ground. If he chilled out and wasn't so insecure and overly loud to compensate then I'd find him a lot more funny. I will say when he does this thing where he believes he just had an epiphany over really basic stuff is hilarious. But I don't think it's an act lol
Aug 2, 2024 ah ok, yeah I'm not big into podcasts so don't listen to flagrant, but have seen some clips on his Insta and I get what you're saying. His standup and especially his crowd work is phenomenal though. I do like Shane a little more I haven't really followed any younger British comics just cause there aren't a lot of them performing in the NYC area, and I tend to go see them live. Ricky Gervais and Jimmy Carr are legends though
