Apr 26, 2017 because he's deliberately moving away from faster sounding songs to avoid being labeled as a 'radio rapper' (or some derivative) and he's attempting to impress by implying there is greater importance on lyrical content in songs that are slowed down, so that the listener can understand them easier. When in reality, his most "ignant b-----r" sounding songs have just as deep lyrical content. that is how his slow beats are pretentious.
