I'm older than 2Pac, this is crazy. Even crazier is the fact how fast time flies.

The GOAT died on this day 23 years ago. He left soooo many records for us. Let's share our favorite songs by Pac.

This makes me think about my dead homie, we used to bump this song in his car, just sittin, smoking cigs, sippin' beer (not driving, just sittin in car)

    Stank face

His whole "Me against the world" album is 10/10, there's nothing wack about this album. His best work to date imo.

    Who doesn't love "Dear Mama"?

Crazy that his career was short lived but his legacy and fame has lived forever...

Not too many artists can get more popular after they pass away...his songs are timeless

But I really thought he was an amazing actor...above the rim, juice, gridlocked are some of my favorites...he was the best rapper turned actor in my opinion

Some unreleased Pac stuff some of you may not know that I've been digging lately:

this last one is released on Still I rise, but has Napolean rapping the 1st verse instead of Pac, so I prefer the version with Pac rapping it lol.

also it's f---in insane that he basically had a 5 year career(including a year in jail) and still had over 700 songs and did 5 movies. With that said if he were still alive today, I think he'd be known more for other stuff besides rapping and acting..Maybe he'd still occasionally release an album or be in a movie, but I think he'd have done a whole lot more, and 'rapper' wouldn't be the first word people think of him with him imo..

Amazing the depth and size of his discography while having died so young

He was historic for his time but truly is an overrated rapper.

No disrespect intended to him nor his legacy, but I really keep on wondering, if he was still alive, would he really be as appreciated & admired as he is till this day? With the changes in the world and people since that time, hypothetically speaking, if he was alive and released all the music he made in our current time, would they be or sound as appealing to the audience nowadays? (Because I don't really see a lot of young folks nowadays that seem to enjoy such kind of music) Again, I'm not trying to take away anything from him or his legacy.

The man definitely has some classic and timeless masterpieces nonetheless

I think 2pac was at the right place at the right time, made legendary music/movies, and died in his peak...highest point of fame and success...which makes his legacy that much more impressive since he accomplished it at a young age

If he was still alive, highly doubt he would be making music....critics would start to nit pick everything in his music and life...look for flaws and he wouldn’t be as popular possible....I feel like he would be involved in human rights issues, race relations, politics, do movies, occasionally music....but his effect wouldn’t be as strong in my opinion then how he left it off....

Imagine Eminem dying in his prime from a od....his legacy would be what if....and how his music could have sounded...but that did not happen...therefore he’s had highs and lows...
We love to bring people in their entertainment up and then bring them down and up and then down lol

Hard to tell...I agree that today’s generation wouldn’t appreciate his music....happens to every artist....different age groups...different music symbolizes different moments in ones life....usuallly attach your favorite music to when your a teen or young adult....older you get might be harder to relate to music done by a 20yr old if you are 40...it would happen with pac and biggie, younger generations maybe wouldn’t be interested....

People thought Beatles were amazing in 60’s - other generations can’t get into their music....same with every artist
