Sep 22, 2023 https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cxet...d&ig_rid=7a1049af-788e-4338-8d9e-888d6a63e056 50 Cent has taken shots at Lloyd Banks and Young Buck while on the road for his Final Lap Tour. In a video recap of his recent show in New Jersey posted to Instagram on Thursday (September 21), 50 dissed his former G-Unit soldiers by jabbing their careers. They think this is something? Wait ‘til they see Lloyd Banks’ tour,” he joked while backstage at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. Fif then targeted Young Buck by saying: “Wait ‘til they see Straight Outta Cashville,” referencing the Tennessee native’s debut album. 50 Cent has been vocal about his grievances with his former G-Unit signees for years. In his 2020 book Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter, the Power mogul said he felt like he could have done a better job at teaching Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo “how to evolve and change their habits,”claiming they had “unfulfilled potential.” “While I was out hustling, Banks was more content staying on his porch and watching the world from there,” he wrote. “Banks wanted things to come to him, as opposed to going out and getting them for himself. That’s not me trying to assassinate his character — the guy has ‘Lazy Lloyd’ tattooed on his arm. He literally wears his laziness on his sleeve.” Then, during an appearance on The Breakfast Club in August 2022, he shut down a potential G-Unit reunion, saying he was “done carrying them”.
Sep 22, 2023 Idk about buck and the others but I never understood why 50 can't understand banks' decision to not be as successfull, a lot of other s--- comes with the money and fame and some people prefer to keep a low(ish) profile
Sep 22, 2023 50 wanted them to be able to stand on their own, and none of them did. Well, one did, but he kicked him out
Sep 22, 2023 Where is he standing on his own? His tours got canceled and his albums started flopping lol
Sep 22, 2023 Yeah, 10 years after making it lol Banks and Yayo never had a career on their own, Banks was too lazy and Yayo not good enough. Buck was blackballed by Fif when he was blowing up so... I can't even blame him.
Sep 22, 2023 Right . Banks just wanted to rap. He never wanted the fame. He wanted to rap his way out the hood and get respect as a mc. As a fan I would love a few more albums like hunger for more . But the route he took is what turned him into the PLK.
Sep 22, 2023 Dude had a chance to join Good Music but he chose EMI and they barely made copies of his album so it was the end of his mainstream career.
Sep 22, 2023 Not really, he made it as a group lol dude didn’t do s--- without 50, just flop and fade away HFM2 did have some great moments though. I don’t even know why you argue with me when 50 himself says it at least once a year. Banks could have had a career on his own, but he made bad decisions like signing to EMI.
Sep 22, 2023 but again , banks didn’t want the spotlight. He dead a--- don’t care about the money or fame. 50 cent has even said in interviews before that he never understood why banks stuck to the mixtape route because there was no money in it. And 50 tried getting him to at least do like ep’s and stuff to make money . We also don’t know how much money he made while on g-unit. Let’s say he didn’t make s--- . In his head he’d be like well I was just in the biggest rap group out (at the time ) didn’t make nothing so what’s the point being on a major and putting in work for nothing.
Sep 23, 2023 Or the solo career, cause he went back to mixtapes like 50 when he fell off. I guess he was smart and invested right since he was able to quit music.
Sep 24, 2023 I like banks debut and Obie trices debut both more than 50’s . Obie got swept under the rug because of 50.
