Jan 19, 2015 Haven't given a listen yet but u would imagine its because his s--- laid the groundwork for modern rap : excellent delivery, dope beats, catchy hooks At the time that wasn't what was poppin most, now the game had evolved and we see how it's gone in that direction so you go back and you're like "d--- that 50 influence too strong" And that's coming from someone who couldn't care less about him atm
Jan 19, 2015 Also, Dre's albums were dope, then got even better in mid-2000s, but now I don't feel em anymore. His s--- was like a delayed release pill that wore off.

Jan 19, 2015 GRODT still sounds great, and I think the good stuff on Massacre sounds even better than it did on release. But filler on Massacre makes it a tough listen, and the next two were more bad than good. The songs that are good, though, really don't seem to get old
