Arose Spotify link: I tried to make it so the songs flow into each other well, have the same mood and the overall theme of the EP is consistent. Careful What You Wish For is where Eminem uses drugs as a metaphor for fame but knowing what we know it can be taken literally. Then Going Through Changes comes where Eminem mentions his addiction, Proof, and Kim. Which flows well into Bad Husband, where he apologizes and recognizes their rocky relationship. Same with his mom on Headlights. On Castle, he talks to his daughters and the song ends with him swallowing pills and passing out. The Mr. Mathers skit is perfect to be placed here, as others have already said. Then Arose comes, when Eminem rewinds time, flushes the pills and lives. This album is very depressing, but it also gives hope that things will get better. He acknowledges his wrongdoings towards his family, his addiction and struggle with fame and tries to move on. I plan on making two more EPs like this. One with songs that are hopeful but not exactly cheerful and another one with bangers. Tell me what you think. I know this has been done a million times before but maybe you'll like it.
