Aug 24, 2020 ....didn't because he sounded like Eminem Anyone hear these similarities between early drake and em? Lol
Aug 24, 2020 Someone posted this on Twitter & it does have similarity flow wise: It's not enough to stop signing someone though, he was much closer to Wayne imo.
Aug 24, 2020 drake wouldnt be where he is now if he didnt have wayne's guidance its wild to think what couldve been different lol
Aug 25, 2020 Gonna be honest, idk if Drake pops the way he does if not for Wayne’s association. 2008/2009 he was untouchable. Not saying he wouldn’t of been successful anyway, but to have a behemoth like 09 Wayne/CashMoney/YoungMoney back you...
Aug 25, 2020 Nah, doubt that. Drake wouldn't sound right over Konvict beats. Akon made the right decision.
Aug 25, 2020 Nah Akon got that lady Gaga money so he’s straight. But if he signed both Gaga and drake? Wow.
Aug 25, 2020 Lol heard this today. My take on it is this... Drake would have been a much more lyrical rapper rather than a pop star had he signed to someone other than Wayne or if Best I ever Had never happened. we get glimpses into that when we hear him on tracks like 5pm in New York or 5am in Toronto. And before someone brings up Ghost writers, remember that Drake is in the pop realm and nearly every pop singer has writers helping them.
Aug 26, 2020 Yea seriously. Imagine making the claim that you found and signed both lady Gaga and drake, arguably the 2 biggest pop acts of the last decade. That would be an insane accomplishment for a singer.
