Nov 5, 2020 Don't have too much faith in tapes that come out while he's in jail after heartbreak kodak, but I'm glad to finally get some new music nonetheless. Dying to Live was great.
Nov 5, 2020 Dying to Live, Painting Pictures, Heart of the Projects, Lil Big Pac would make up my top 4, not exactly sure what order. I have a soft spot for PP but it has a handful of terrible songs. Could have been a classic if it was cut down to 12-13 songs.
Nov 5, 2020 I feel you. Yeah I wouldn’t have PP on my top 3 either. Lotta forgettable songs on it. Heart of the projects my 2nd favorite prolly only cause of nostalgia and the fact SKRT’s on it Too Many Years still most emotional Kodak song with most emotional and heartfelt hook OAT
Nov 5, 2020 Either Heart of the Projects or Dying to Lives gotta be his project right? Lil Big Pac and Painting pictures were both great too though. I also have a soft spot for Institution - was the first project that got me into Kodak, never see anyone mention it.
Nov 5, 2020 Saw all the staggering potential of what was to come with that one. Lil Big Pac might still be his best, I think. Dying to Live was him at his most fully realized after we saw him experiment with PP & the other subsequent albums. Excited for this, can't wait to see what new tools and cadences he'll come up with
Nov 6, 2020 I couldn't get over how Institution is 24 songs long and every single song works and sounds fresh. Speaking of Lil Big Pac, Everything 1K is still just on another level, its a great project but that song is still one of Kodak's best achievements imo
