    Am I the only one that doesn’t understand why he’s so big. I have a female friend that keeps trying to put me on to his music and all his streams are through the roof.

    I just don’t understand listening to something I can’t understand

    He’s been big for so long, it’s just white America discovered him recently (2020).

    I think his last album is one of the best this year. My year has just been Dawn FM, Kings Disease 3, Motomami and El Último Verano. Pretty weak year, but at least I had some albums to listen to.

    That’s one of the reasons people learn to understand other languages, to understand what their favorite songs are about. You see people trying to learn Korean because of KPop. Same thing when Em and 50 blew up worldwide.

    I listen to songs in German, French, Korean, English, Spanish.

    As an Argentine i can tell you guys why he is so big.

    First, he was the first latin artist to do in a mainstream way the type of trap that some USA rappers like Future did by that time, before him, nobody was doing that here and im talking about 2016/2017. You know, the mumbling, the deeper voice, the trap beats. He was "the pioneer" here for the majority of people. In fact, most of my friends thinks that trap was invented in latin America and USA rappers copied it and that is thanks to bad bunny.

    He took the opportunity and now is on a run similar to Drake on his early years. Dropping hits after hits after hits. He is a good artist for sure but is not the second coming of Christ like some people think. He was just the first to bring that style to spanish-speaking countries. Could have been anyone.

    I'm not even really a fan but I think dude is way better than alternatives like Rauw or the dumb as a rock Anuel.

    He's fine. I understand a bit spanish but its all the same as in every language.
