His first five albums debuted at number one. He has sold over 74 million records world wide. He was once one of the biggest rappers this game has ever seen. He seems sober and confident with the music he’s been working on. Swizz beats seems more than excited about it.... Can the dog bite again?

I think he can make a comeback if he has swizz produce most the tracks, and there are a lot of good features

    The nas, busta, Jay song
    A song w the Lox
2 songs w swizz on the hook
    A prayer
A convo w God type song

Make it a short 10 song album, great beats, mixing, and features and have dmx do a few 16 bar verses, maybe 2-3 short solo tracks

He produced “lord have mercy” and that was dope. Schoolboy q on a dmx track would be flames.

Swizz beats and DMX have been working on it for awhile. I remember at one point swizz had s twitter status saying “we are waiting on DR. Dre & Kanye to wrap this thing up”

Kanye has produced for X in the past and has been noted as a huge DMX fan. So we will be hearing some hard hitting s--- on this album for sure.

I think DMX is one of those rappers that can have whoever the f--- he wants on his album because even after his fall off he is respected.

I mean s---, Drake one of the biggest rappers out and The best thing about views was a DMX sample. Dmx isn’t talked about on a regular do to his lack of music in the last decade. But I think he could headline again with good production and features.

    True...

But maybe that’s why music needs a DMX album.

DMX ain’t going to sell out... DMX going to be DMX until the end. Him on a metro beat I could see. But he definitely isn’t about to make a trap album.

Swizz is already confirmed to be executive producer. The time they have been taking with this album gives me a lot of hope. It’s not just “yo X here’s some beats after you done doing crack he can make some quick cash”. Dmx is sober and really into this. DMX heart and energy he puts on a track will never be matched by another artist.

I've seen DMX live twice, once very recently, and he still brings all of the energy I would have expected from a DMX show 15 years ago. It's not a matter of whether he's still "got it." Unless it is the money to actually finance his career. The guy is in debt up to his eyeballs and has a difficult time staying out of prison. Can DMX make a comeback? Maybe. Will he? No.

Yes please. Hip hop could always benefit from more aggressive music. It doesn't need to blow up or be crazy popular or anything, but just shake things up at least a little.

Edit: i don't know but I think he might still have a little something in the tank...
