Sep 20, 2017 Mainly .... I'm SO tired of people comparing or always associating Tupac with Kendrick. Other than 2Pac being an influence to Kendricks rap career, these two artists are very different. From the content and perspective they rap about to how they carry their personal lives is very different. I just personally don't see any connection between these two other than Kendrick being a fan of his music (like a lot of people).
Sep 20, 2017 I agree...I'm a huge Pac fan and have no interest in Kendrick..I know some feel the same way, while others are the opposite and like Kendrick but not Pac. Sick of the comparisons but it's probably Kendrick's own fault for kissing Pac's a--- so much.
Sep 20, 2017 I'm a fan of both and I think fans hype that s--- up way too much. But u have a point had Kendrick not mentioned certain details about his relationship with Tupac no one would ever compare the two. It was like as soon as Kendrick mentioned he was a Pac fan and it came out their bdays are a day apart people took that and ran with it
Sep 20, 2017 It's like oooh and he wanna be a rapper too THAT'S PAC REINCARNATE ...!!! Like no n----- sit yo a--- down.
Sep 20, 2017 Did u even listen to the album? Cause TPAB was not made around the interview The interview was used to bring all of the concepts from the album together in a way that n----s understand.
Sep 20, 2017 Can't forget Kendrick's 'vision' of Pac telling him to not let the music die lol.. “I was coming from a late studio session, sleeping on mom’s couch,” Kendrick Lamar says during the interview with GQ. “I’m 26 now. It wasn’t that long ago. I remember being tired, tripping from the studio, lying down, and falling into a deep sleep and seeing a vision of ‘Pac talking to me.” Lamar continues, saying that it was an experience that had an impact on his life, despite him finding it odd. “Weirdest s--- ever,” Lamar says. “I’m not huge on superstition and all that s---. That’s what made it so crazy. It can make you go nuts. Hearing somebody that you looked up to for years saying, ‘Don’t let the music die.’ Hearing it clear as day. Clear as day. Like he’s right there. Just a silhouette.”
Sep 20, 2017 I don't think it's his fault ....its plenty of people who praise Tupac the same way Kendrick does
Sep 20, 2017 I've had really vivid dreams that I think about sometimes. This kinda weird but if its what made him make GKMC then I'm fine with it.
Sep 20, 2017 Lmao The album isn't centered around the interview and that shouldn't be the main take away out of the WHOLE album. I believe the interview was only meant to be an extra addition to the concepts already presented throughout the album You make it seem like from the interview came the concepts for the album and I don't believe that's the case.
Sep 20, 2017 Reading that today, it sound like something an up and coming rapper would want to tell himself as motivation to keep pushing for success
Sep 20, 2017 U don't know what anybody says behind closed doors. Kendrick probably the only one real enough to speak on it....or his PR team said it would be a good look to highlight that experience
