May 10, 2017 Obviously we know that when the movie was first announced Em was signed on to play the main role but when scheduling of MMLP2 got in the way he had to focus on the album instead. And obviously he wouldn't have come anywhere near Jake Gyllenhaal amazing (Oscar nomination worthy?) performance. But if it had come down to it and MMLP2 had already been out by the time of filiming, do you think Em could've pulled off a respectable performance?
May 10, 2017 He wasn't going to look like that in the movie. Actors generally don't decide what kind of shape they are in for a movie. The movie studio pays for personal trainers to get them into the shape they need to be for the movie. Jake didn't look like that before doing the movie. He was required to get into that shape.
May 10, 2017 Yes. It wouldn't have been as great as Jakes job though. He has the ability to truly get in character and give such a real performance which I think is pretty rare in Hollywood.

May 11, 2017 I'm sure he would've been great With this personality, he would've been obsessed with getting into shape and playing a great role But for the time it would've taken out of his schedule, I'm glad he continued with working on the album
May 11, 2017 He was going to be but I am pretty sure his addiction killed that. I still have the Detroit free press article with his picture taking up the entire page holding a snake. I can't remember if there was an interview in that article or not.
May 11, 2017 yes he could, but his lazy a--- decided to work on the "soundtrack" which took him few months to complete it lmao....at least if he played the lead role to that movie we would realize that he took time off from music and we would have more patience for him upcoming album
May 11, 2017 Wrong. His "lazy a---" decided to finish MMLP2. Soundtrack came long after that. If he had acted in Southpaw, MMLP2 wouldn't have come out until 2015 probably.
