The Massacre is not very good. Even it’s best songs and iconic songs, such as I’m Supposed to Die Tonight and Candy shop are just diet versions of better songs like Many Men and Magic Stick.
Only reason Massacre gets better looks than Curtis is the Dre and Em production.

Man Down, Ill Still k---, I Get Money, Ayo Technology, and Fully Loaded Clip are all better songs than anything on The Massacre.

h--- not only does The Massacre rehash GRODT songs, it even rehashes it’s own songs Disco Inferno and Just a Little Bit are basically the same song. Can’t even recall what verses are from which and I’ve heard both songs plenty of times.

Sure Amusement Park is bad and Eminem ruins Peep Show but at least they’re rememberable Can’t even tell you what the back end of The Massacre is and I’ve heard the album a thousand times.

My Gun Go Off is a better intro than In My Hood.

Only thing Massacre really has going for it are I’m Supposed to Die Tonight, Ski Mason way, Outta Control, and Piggy Bank.

Ryder Music and Baltimore Love Thang are so boring I nearly fall asleep while they play.

Only reason Massacre is seen as better is the type of production it has bumps better in a car.

Curtis is the far superior album.

Also 59 shouldn’t be punished for adapting his style for the future. Curtis is the proper evolution of the GRODT sound, The Massacre is a diet rehash where Eminem and Luis Resto tried their best Dre impressions since Dre was pissed at 50 over Game beef at the time.

Curtis could've been one of 50's best albums if not for the executives f---ing the album up.

The intro and My Gun Go Off is definitely my favorite intro for 50 yet, points to that. Man Down should NOT have been censored. It just sound terrible without the police mentions. Controversy sells Fif. I Still k--- is OK, Idk if this should've been here. The next 2 songs are great, After that the album just dives into mediocrity, besides Straight To The Bank, Curtis 187, and the Forbes remix, maybe Ayo Technology. Amusement Park is a guilty pleasure of mine, I'd admit, just didn't belong on this album at all. Fire is one of the worst 50 songs I've heard and All Of Me is so f---ing underwhelming and out of place.

If Curtis stayed on that gangsta rap tone through the album, this could've been up there with GRODT, but the labels f----- it up.

Massacre just had more hits and most songs weren't up to par with Curtis' best one's, there's just more good ones than bad. It's just not clicking with me as much as Massacre, maybe I'm not in the mood.

Both albums are good but neither of them are really more impressive than the other one except the fact that The Massacre had all those best Scott Storch production at the time and he was in his prime. Just A Lil Bit, Disco Inferno, Candy Shop, Outta Control had amazing beats, I still bump those in the car... I wouldn't say there are much difference between both albums tho.

The massacre is right around the time fifty had his teeth fixed from being shot in the face. He lost the grimey sound he had. Too polished. Only a handful of tracks of his I like post Massacre. He is however the best troll of all time so props to him on that.

ya know what? i aint mad at this

always thought that Curtis was sorely under-appreciated and over hated. I bumped the living s--- out of this when it dropped and it has some 50 's best songs oat. Still return to it occasionally. Don't know about it being better than The Massacre, I'd put it in solid 3rd place in his discog.

    Fair shout tbf

I prefer BISD to Curtis tbh... Fif always gave away too many gems via free mixtapes, he should have used them on albums instead.

AA was also alright, definitley shouldnt have been marketed as an album though. I think there's a really solid album in all the s--- he put out post BISD - present. There was a stage - I think just after BISD dropped (or was it just before?) when he was just straight dropping gems of loosies, I was convinced he was actually about to drop another classic. He had Get Up, I Get It In... could never figure out why they weren't on BISD.

    remember these?

also there was a song called Play This on the Radio - can't seem to find it on yt right now.

Interscope/Aftermath staff were leaking 50's BISD music due to 50 beefing with Jimmy Iovine. I Get It In, Get Up and They Burn me were all supposed to be on BISD... BISD could have been equally as good as The Massacre it 50 was being backed. They leaked this too but this one was supposed to be for Curtis

That "Youre Supposed to be dead" was supposed to be a Curtis cut too, but it leaked (jimmy was apparently responsible for that too lol)

AA was a big letdown for me fam, like you said, it shouldn't have been an album. Still, it had some heat...
