Jul 7, 2018 Drake's new set Scorpion has become the first album to hit 1 billion streams globally across all streaming platforms in a single week, industry sources have confirmed to Billboard. In all, Scorpion's tracks accumulated more than 1 billion streams globally in the most recent tracking week (June 29-July 5), the set's first week available, making it the first album to reach the milestone. Previously, Post Malone's beerbongs & bentleys held the global record with just under 700 million streams (April 27-May 3), according to industry insiders. Additionally, Scorpion scored over 750 million streams U.S.-only in its first seven days, according to sources, likewise smashing the domestic record set by Post Malone's beerbongs (431.3 million, according to Nielsen Music). As previously reported, Scorpion broke beerbongs' record in just its first three days by tallying 435 million U.S. streams from June 29 through July 1. Beerbongsachieved that total over its first seven days, April 27-May 3. Scorpion's streaming numbers alone should easily send it to a No. 1 launch on the Billboard 200 albums chart dated July 14 with over 700,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in its first week, according to industry forecasters, marking the biggest week for an album in 2018 so far. Final U.S. sales and streaming tabulations according to Nielsen Music will be announced once all data is fully processed, with the top 10 and highlights of the Billboard 200 scheduled to be revealed on Billboard's websites Sunday, July 8. The top 10 and highlights of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart will post the following day, Monday, July 9. Scorpion's debut coincides with the Billboard 200's first week of employing an updated weighting formula for on-demand audio streams, giving greater emphasis to paid subscription streams. The Hot 100 will also employ this formula beginning with the July 14-dated ranking. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bi...d=Ey48kJlhFAZhd93tNFIWLfHIJ6BZvNf2xOPtgrrDHXo
Jul 7, 2018 why cant he j release a normal length album that he put effort into that isnt 24 tracks to game the streaming system and give his fans a decent project instead of himself some streaming awards
Jul 7, 2018 Drake wins again. All he does is win. I don’t think anyone could go up against him in the business. His music is so consistent that it’s crazy. Eminem had a good 4 year run. Wayne had a good 4-5 year run. Kayne a 3-4 year run. Drake been running through the 6 ever since he came in the game and still going, breaking all rap records. This is insane. Even his jealous haters have to give him props here.
Jul 7, 2018 Soffie is going to be f---ing herself with some iced out platinum didldos on chatterbate soon.
Jul 8, 2018 cant take that away from drake..great numbers, the pusha/ye beef def helped a lot, as well as this being a double album
Jul 8, 2018 Drake is the greatest rapper of the last 16 years tbh. Kanye Ye 75k, old man Pusha like 50k, eminem 150k, Drake, a BILLION A BILLION A BILLION. Even his physical copies out sold every top rapper by hundreds of thousands. Drake can’t lose. And Kanye so jealous he can’t make a hit song and wanted drake to write one for him lmao then snakes him out. What a fraud.
Jul 8, 2018 Will you just shut the f--- up already? Not even the drake stans here are liking your posts
Jul 8, 2018 It’s a shame Scorpion wasn’t a great album and he only made it so long for these awards but still, Drake is killing it again.
Jul 9, 2018 I give mad praise to drizzy for his outstanding achievement climbing up the charts yet most lame music fans continue to hope for some kind of downfall to happen on him which will never happen so again many congrats
