In a new “Behind The Music” clip on Paramount+, Shady goes into detail about her friendship with LL, confirming longtime fan speculation about a certain gem. LL presented him with a gold chain made to look similar to the one he wore in his classic 1987 music video “I’m Bad”. “Since I was a kid, I've always wanted a chain,” says Em. "I was recording with Rick Rubin and I thought, 'Hey, can you ask LL where he got his chains?' So he had this one made and sent it to me." Eminem shared that he was very inspired by that particular music video, and the huge currents of LL Cool J, and that LL had the “complete package,” from “the look” to “the style”. “I was like, 'Hey, I wanted this. That's what made me really want to rap,” Em remembers. Fans have speculated that the chain is the same one Shady used in his BET freestyle attacking Donald Trump, and LL has even given Em some other memorabilia in the past. Jul 27, 2021 Ya we’re so tired of hearing Eminem talk about late 80s/early 90s rap. We get it, that’s wat u was brought up on, but that s--- boring af today. I actually think emeinem is starting early signs of dementia. When I looked up symptoms on google he fit the bill perfectly. Maybe him constantly referring to the old days is his way of keeping record of his own memory for when he starts to loose it.
