Dec 9, 2014 Some people might of only heard about them upon signing to Shady Records. Some might of heard about them from their first album or followed the members solo careers. How did you discover Slaughterhouse? For me I discovered them because of Royce and Budden, whose solo careers I followed loosely. Death is Certain introduced me to Royce and I knew Budden from the Mood Muzik series only I didn't listen to them as much as I do today. I heard of Crooked when he done the hiphop weekly series and I knew of Ortiz from Aftermath, but I never followed them so it was a pleasant surprise when I learnt they formed a group. From there on I began listening to each member more, but still favouring Budden and Royce. Loved the first album and been a fan of them ever since.
Dec 9, 2014 Knew all of them vaguely before they came together. Wouldn't say I was really a fan of any of them though. Since they signed to shady I paid more attention and followed their releases. Out of all them I liked buddens solo work the most.
Dec 9, 2014 Listened to them all as solo acts on occasions but heard they formed slaughterhouse when they dropped the self titled track with Nino Bless who i think was meant to be a member of slaughterhouse if i remember correctly.
Dec 10, 2014 I heard them on Halfway House at first, and then I heard they were making an album together. I didn't know who Crooked & Joell were, but I was huge Royce & Joey fans so I gave their album a shot when it came out.

Dec 10, 2014 Ugh I have no idea tbh, wasn't exactly a big moment in my life. But pretty sure I knew of Royce, Budden and Crooked as solo artists although haven't heard much of any of them. No idea how/when I first heard of the group though, probably from wherever Em was promoting it.
Dec 10, 2014 I saw it on a site when it happened, theif first album wasn't bad imo. They had some cool songs like Fight Club and Move On, Goodbye is their best song I think. I haven't really payed attention to them since their first album, they lack replay value heavily, and most of the times they try too hard to force smart wordplay/multis etc. It might be fun when it works, but they do it all the time and it gets old. Since they signed with Shady their production/style is way out of their character, I couldn't finish even half of that album. I'm a fan of Budden, and Royce's early work was good too, also Phryme has received positive feedback but I haven't listened to it yet. Crooked is all about stacking multis from what I've heard, and Ortiz has some nice songs but nothing good enough to make me wanna listen to a full album/mixtape by him.

Dec 10, 2014 In 2009 about time when debut album had been released. Of course heard of Royce, Joe Budden, Crooked I and Joel Ortiz way before, especially first two.
