    ..pre-album freestyles

Need a few freestyles like this to promote his next album, not a 7 minute long acapella

It has the perfect balance of lyricism whilst having a good flow and joking around being controversial

I really like both I'm Having a Relapse and of course Despicable, as well. Especially the latter-- built a lot of hype rapping over beats that were popular at the time. Great way to stay relevant.

d--- man you brining back some long forgotten memories! While I'm much happier now that I'm an adult, I do miss this music era so much. Dre was at his peak redefining the west coast sound and had the perfect up and coming emcee to destroy his game changing beats with a hungry, chip on his shoulder eminem trying to prove he's not just some white kid who's exploiting rap music. Em wanted to prove to everyone that not only was he dope lyrically and technically, but that he had a story to tell and that he was capable of releasing music that would impact a generation.

Edit: just imagine how many random Eminem verses and half completed songs Dre must have locked away in his fault. I really wish they would release an album of vault s---. They can charge regular album pricing and people will still buy it. I can understand not wanting to leak it, but why not just package them up and sell them on iTunes and Spotify? I would imagine someday we'll get old unreleased s--- but that probably won't happen for a long time.

Or drop a double album, 1 album all new s--- and 1 album all old s---.

Yea despicable is incredible. I was so happy when that s--- came out! That's the modern Em I'd like to see more consistently.

The first time I heard that beat switch up I died. The transition between flows was on another level.

I know man, imagine all the unheard gems in the vault. Sadly I don't think we will every hear them until a good few years after his death, if at all

Considering it came from you, it is the best compliment these freestyles can get

    What are u on about?

I may be a big fan but I am objective and can admit when he puts out terrible material like h--- The Sequel, Infinite, Relapse (excluding Beautiful and the choruses) majority of his guest verses and majority of his freestyles

Obviously i'm gonna praise his flawless and classic material which makes him the greatest artist

    The Eminem Show
    Recovery
    The MMLP 2

Songs from other albums such as

    Mockingbird
    Spend Some Time
    When I'm Gone
    Beautiful
    I Remember
    Twisted
    Like Toy Soldiers
    8 Mile Road
    Lose Yourself
    We As Americans
    Crazy In Love
    Love You More
    Gut's Over Fear

    Features like

    Talk To Me
    Drama Setter
    Black Cotton
    Syllables
    Lady
    Welcome To D-Block
    s--- Hit's The Fan

If Eminem ain't singing on the song, it isn't emotional, it isn't personal, it isn't melodic, it isn't harmonic or if it isn't Gangsta like Drama Setter

I hate it and am not trying to hear it

I'm dying to hear an entire album of him singing on the whole track like he did on

    Hailie's Song
    I Remember
    Stronger Than I Was

Want an album full of songs like this where he sings on most the track

    Not possible.
That is more than 17 years old. Eminem voice is not the same. He doesn't have the confidence to pull off a slick flow anymore either.

True but I dont get it, I mean he may sound lowered pitch but if some stupid youtuber is able to impersonate his old flow decently why can't he? would love to see him regain his old flow on more mature voice

Well f--- that. I certainly f---ing don't. He's a rapper man, and as such he obviously raps really well actually as it goes.

I kinda wanna hear one of the best rappers rapping to be honest. f--- an album full of singing. Em ain't a singer.

That's like saying yo I really wish Lebron would just play ping pong instead of being a baller.

I thought it was decent, especially at the time. Probably partly because we were so deprived of new music though
