I just realized....If it weren't for Eminem, Nelly and Ja Rule would've been running the game!

    Back in that 00-04 era.

Eminem, Jay-Z, DMX, and Nas basically kept lyricism alive in mainstream rap in that era.

But Nelly and Ja Rule were the best selling rappers after Eminem in that same era. After the 90's, Jay, Nas, and DMX were still selling but Nelly and Ja Rule outsold them in that period believe it or not.

Country Grammar and Nellyville are Diamond and 6-7 Times Platinum and Suit is even 3 Times Platinum. And Ja's biggest album sold 4 Times Platinum.

Not that they're bad artists or anything but it's crazy to think that, if it weren't for prime Em, we'd have Nelly and Ja Rule literally running the rap game back in the early 2000's. Yikes!

True. Honestly, Em and Hov really held in down for mainstream rap in the early 2000's.

I remember when I was in elementary school there were a few kids in my class who would put foil on their teeth and a bandaid under their eye and I never knew why until a few years later lol

Nelly had one good album. It’s a classic in my book but after that he was garbage, and Ja Rule Lmao the murderer I don’t even have to say anything about him do I.
