Dec 16, 2015 His ambition is to do Eminem numbers as far as record sales. In the interview he sounded really hungry and dedicated to achieve that it was such a huge statement and a huge ambition to achieve but he sounded hungry to give it his best shot Since 2005 his sales have declined This is no shot at Kanye even though i don't like his music but respect the fact he can Rap and respect his Flow. But i looked at his overall sales his total sales and they are far from spectacular at all I'm no hater even though i don't enjoy his music or an album of his i can admit he is a Hip Hop legend But i felt him making that statement even he deep down probably knew he was never gonna achieve even getting close to Eminem's sales Eminem is a Pop icon
Dec 16, 2015 Point is he will never be no Eminem as far as record sales, popularity, being a pop icon he never had a chance
Dec 16, 2015 Well yeah, no rapper today can compete with Eminem's sales. Also pls keep Eminem in the Eminem SXN.
Dec 16, 2015 How is Kanye not a pop icon? he's pretty much the most famous man in the world right now. His every move and every word out of his mouth have been a news headline for the last ~4 years. His celebrity status isn't that far away from Eminem's, it's just a lot more divisive and controversial
Dec 16, 2015 I honestly also dont get why people still buy CDs. Since spotify and other streaming services have gained so much popularity and have the rights for so many songs it just makes no sense for me to buy anything.
Dec 16, 2015 Just wondering, cause I really don't know much about eminem. Had eminem mega-classics (aka classics that are also classics for non-rap fans) like my beautiful dark twisted fantasy or the college dropout?
Dec 16, 2015 Sure, it's different, but I don't think there are any actual pros to that experience over digital, just cons.
Dec 16, 2015 Can someone move this thread to the EminemSXN. Definitely feels like a Eminem quality thread
Dec 16, 2015 Add up physical sales, Streams, and piracy and it would probably be close to eminem sales. CD's have a much higher quality audio than most frequently used digital formats. Unless you using Flac, which is CD quality, but there aren't nearly as many digital outlets that sell albums in Flac format. EDIT: Seriously listen to an mp3 file than a CD. It's a whole world of difference. iPod's have some of the worse audio I've ever heard (by today's standards). Everything is so compressed. Unless I'm on the go, I'd take CD's over digital, but honestly if I'm not on the go, it's vinyl all the way.
