    He’s undeniably an underground legend, but how much of that off tune singing has correlates to direct influence?

    I think the only obvious instance of his influence can be seen in Wiz, who pretty much took his style and made it marketable

    I'll admit I'm no expert on him but he's never someone I've associated with being influential nor heard or read anything suggesting he was.

    That’s why I was asking because you’d assume someone with such a large cult following known for originality would have left a bit of a trace, you know? Like I said , you can hear some in some of wiz’s early work but besides that I can’t think of an example
